How to Get Your Guttering Repaired

How to Get Your Guttering Repaired – When your gutters are damaged or blocked you should seek advice immediately as it could lead to more serious problems if not attended to right away. Generally speaking roofers are the people who most often deal with guttering problems, so have a look at local roofers and see if you can find one that will tackle the job. Get the gutters inspected regularly and you should avoid these types of problems. If you have a decent set of ladders (and don’t mind heights) you might climb on up there and check them out yourself, you can probably pull out a ton of junk and leaves that will cause a blockage if left for years.

How to Find a Building Contractor

How to Find a Building Contractor: Locating a decent building contractor in your local area is certainly not as simple as you might at first think, after all you are looking for someone you can trust and once you have chosen someone it is generally too late to change, if you decide you don’t like the standard of their work, so make sure you choose wisely from the very beginning. Checking with family and friends and also work colleagues is a good start and maybe one of them can recommend someone to you, who they have used in the past. While the internet is a good place to find builders, it is hard to know who is good and who is bad. You could try using one of the many tradesmen portals, these often have reviews and recommendations which you may or may not want to rely on. One example would be Rated People where you can get up to 3 free quotations and read relevant reviews, others include Trust a Trader and Check a Trade.

Do I Need Planning Permission to Build a Porch

Do I Need Planning Permission to Build a Porch? – Many people have asked this question and the answer is not exactly straightforward – there are some ifs and buts. If the floor area of the porch exceeds 3 square metres, you will need planning permission. If your porch is going to be higher than 3 metres from ground level, you will need planning permission. If your porch is within a distance of 2 metres of the property boundary or within 2 metres of a highway, you will need planning permission. If none of the above applies then you probably won’t need planning permission but you should still check with your local council to be sure. Hope this helps.
